We are pleased to announce the confirmed dates for our annual induction events for student officers and students’ association staff. To retain the benefits of both online and in-person delivery, the 2022 event will be split into three parts. The first part of That’s Quality! is a one-day online event, which will be sector-specific. The second part will be an online self-study module, which will provide officers with a more detailed overview of quality in Scotland, which is designed to be used throughout an officer’s time in office. Finally, attendees of both events will be invited to a joint, two-day, in-person training event in August. The two-day event will be residential, with a dinner on the first evening, allowing for some much-missed social and networking opportunities.
This joint event will be an opportunity for interactive group activities which will allow attendees to explore what they have learnt in practice and to network with colleagues from across the tertiary sector.
This is a three-part training course and attendees are required to attend both the sector-specific online session and the joint event.

- That’s Quality! Universities: Wednesday 20th July 2022, online via Zoom.
- That’s Quality! Colleges and Universities: Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th August 2022, Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee
As a result of seeking feedback from across the sector, That’s Quality! Colleges, is now taking place earlier in the summer than in previous years. We hope this early notification of dates will allow students’ associations to build this into college officer inductions, as we appreciate that in some cases officers may be attending before their term of office starts.
That’s Quality! is aimed at new and returning student officers with an education remit and students' association staff. They will provide a valuable addition to your planned induction for new officers - introducing participants to the quality enhancement agenda, looking at why quality matters to students and how to use it to make change.
Further details will follow in due course, including the cost of the event, which will be inclusive of all training events and resources as well as accommodation and meals at the residential event in August. In the meantime, please save the relevant dates in new and/or continuing officers' diaries! Bookings will open in early May.
